Indian state-owned telco BSNL is reportedly set to deploy over 25,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in the rural exchanges of the company by the end of 2017. According to reports, BSNL has inked an agreement with the Universal Service Obligation Fund for the deployment of hotspots. Notably, each rural exchange is expected to get one Wi-Fi access point under this project.
