US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that he is withdrawing the US from the Paris climate accord. Speaking from the White House, Trump said, "We're getting out." However, Trump also announced that he was open to renegotiating aspects of the agreement. The official withdrawal procedures are expected to conclude by November 2020. The climate deal was inked under Obama administration. Notably, the climate deal has been regarded as the crown jewel of Obama’s legacy.
