The Election Commission on Wednesday reportedly wrote a letter to Law Ministry penning its objection to the recent amendment in the in the Representation of the People Act. Notably, this amendment exempts political parties from disclosing donations received through electoral bonds. The amendment also courted controversy for removing the cap on corporate contribution to political parties. Notably, this is the first official communication by the EC to the government
