China asked India to "be cautious" and "exercise restraint" while building infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh, after Bhupen Hazarika Setu connecting the state with Assam was inaugurated. "China's position on the eastern section of the Sino-Indian border areas is consistent and clear," it said in the statement. It also suggested solving territorial disputes through negotiations and consultations.
